Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz with Aces Tom Westphal and Dan Rohanna
Last weekend the Brooklyn Aces held their first annual Pro Prospect Camp, at the Aviator Arena, part of the Aviator Sports Complex at Floyd Bennett Field. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz was in attendance to drop a ceremonial puck to kickoff the weekend's activities. 40 players from around the globe were competing for 25 spots at the Aces' Training Camp that begins in late October. Each player was put through both on and off ice testing, culminating with three live scrimmages on Saturday and Sunday. The Aces will begin play on November 6th when they travel to Danbury to face the Madhatters. The Aces' Home Opener will be Saturday November 8th at 7:30pm against the New Hampshire Freeze at the Aviator Arena.
