The flurries outside the Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, NY were no match for the flurry of scoring inside the arena on Saturday night, as the Aces (18-2-2-0) beat the Hudson Valley Bears (2-17-0-0) 11-2. Brooklyn actually got off to a fairly moderate start. Mike Thomson found the net twice in the first period to give the Aces an early advantage. Ian McLoughlin scored with just over a minute left in the first and the Aces went into the second period with a 3-0 lead.

Last weekend the Brooklyn Aces held their first annual Pro Prospect Camp, at the Aviator Arena, part of the Aviator Sports Complex at Floyd Bennett Field. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz was in attendance to drop a ceremonial puck to kickoff the weekend's activities. 40 players from around the globe were competing for 25 spots at the Aces' Training Camp that begins in late October.

The Brooklyn Aces, member of the Eastern Professional Hockey League, will be offering a FREE clinic at the Aviator Sports & Recreation Complex in Brooklyn, NY for area youth hockey players on September 6th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Aces coaches and players will coordinate the clinic and work with players on particular skills/drills, culminating with an autograph session with the kids.

New York City– Brooklyn will now be home to it first-ever minor league hockey team, Representative Anthony D. Weiner (D – Brooklyn and Queens) and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz announced today. The “Brooklyn Aces”, a single ‘A’ level team in the Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL), will start their season in November.
